Horses are a symbol of freedom and also came to represent the history of the Native American culture. Horses also became a symbol of wealth for tribes, which led to enemies targeting horses for capture.

In Paleo art, Pictographs are described as images and designs made by painting on rocks or in caves. For this type of painting, charred wood, plants and minerals were ground up and mixed with liquids ( oil, fat, urine, blood) and then applied with sticks, fingers, or hands.
